Applying for a visa to enter Thailand.

Those who apply for a visa to enter Thailand must comply with certain conditions. not be a person prohibited from entering the Kingdom according to the Immigration Act 1979, for example, having been sentenced to imprisonment by a judgment of a Thai court or a judgment of a foreign court Believing that he is a person who is a threat to society or will cause mischief to endanger the peace or safety of the people or a person who is a government official foreigners issued arrest warrants Have enough money to spend while staying in Thailand according to the regulations, at least 20,000 baht per person. Foreigners must obtain a visa that corresponds to the purpose of entering Thailand. Visa approval is at the discretion of the embassy/consulate-general. and in obtaining a visa for foreigners of some nationalities Regulations and criteria for special consideration have been established. Foreigners applying for a visa to enter Thailand should understand the validity of the visa and the period of stay. The validity of a visa refers to the length of time that the visa holder can use to travel to Thailand. The validity of the visa will be determined by the consular officer and will appear on the visa sticker or visa stamp of the embassy or consulate general. Generally, the validity of a visa is 3 months from the date it is issued. Foreigners wishing to enter Thailand must obtain a visa or visa from the Thai embassy or consulate-general located in their country of residence.           Length of stay in Thailand The traveler is allowed to stay in Thailand. The immigration officer determines the length of stay upon the foreigner's arrival and will appear on the arrival stamp. The length of stay depends on the type of visa.


Transit visa will be allowed to stay up to 30 days.


Tourist visa up to 30 days or 60 days


Non-immigrant visa up to 90 days


                 If there is a necessity to overstay the said permitted period Foreigners must apply for permission to stay at the Immigration Office, otherwise If overstaying the permitted period will be fined 500 baht per day


                   Foreigners entering Thailand with any type of visa are not allowed to work until they have obtained a work permit. Non-Immigrant Visa “B” in order to be able to apply for a work permit.


                  Embassies and Consulates General of Thailand Consider granting visas to foreigners to allow them to travel to Thailand. As for the permission to enter Thailand and the period of time allowed to stay in Thailand It is the authority of the immigration officers, so some foreigners who have received a visa may not be allowed to enter the country. If the immigration officer considers that such person has characteristics or behavior as a person prohibited from entering the kingdom under Immigration Act 1979
